About Us

We are passionate about fruit & vegetables. Some might say we're "vegcentric", putting fruit and vegetables at the start of every meal. We think it's great for our bellies, our budget and the wider world.

Inspiration and curiosity are at the heart of play, exploration and learning, and we like to think that our fruit and vegetable boxes ignite all of these things in your kitchen.

Sourcing great produce from local growers and the best that New Spitalfields has to offer, we put together boxes that are low in packaging but maximise freshness, seasonality and interest.  We aim to create boxes that are realistic and suitable for you and your family's needs whilst creating interest or inspiration through our variety, recipe cards and online community. We think you'll love it.

By joining our monthly subscription fruit & vegetable boxes we will support you to join the vegcentric revolution!

About Us

Clair Henderson

Clair founded Pear & Potato  in 2019.

Always with her own eye on growing vegetables, eating seasonally and being eco-aware, encouraging others to eat mindfully was always something that seemed to a happen and always got a positive response.

After finding gaps with other local and national vegbox schemes, she decided that to create weekly fresh boxes, sharing inspiration and education could encourage people to move towards more sustainable consumption. Our own impact on politics and the environment starts in the home. And by doing little more that upping our own vegetable consumption we can have a big impact on our health, the environment, and supporting local and national growers and suppliers.

Whilst recognising the huge challenges we all have over changing the way we shop, cook and eat, Pear & Potato aims to make it easy by offering inspiration and curiosity for people wanting to make those changes.
